Ep 376 From Burnout to Brilliant with Dr. Romie’s Busy Brain Cure

From Burnout to Brilliant Busy Brain Cure

Dr. Romie Mushtaq
Take away:
There are tangible steps you can take, even with a stressful lifestyle, to mitigate the effects of chronic stress and find more balance and wellbeing. Dr. Romie provides evidence-based yet practical suggestions to make this possible.
Money Learnings:
Growing up in an immigrant family, Dr. Romie was taught by her parents to save money diligently, have a relentless work ethic and drive for academic excellence, and that openly talking about money is culturally inappropriate. However, her aunt taught her bargain-hunting skills like finding sales, discounts and deals when shopping in order to get value for money spent. Overall, enjoying or splurging money was discouraged while financial prudence, saving, and a puritanical work ethic was strongly emphasized in her childhood. This left her with some money scarcity mindsets that she seems to have later overcome as an adult.
