Ep 0017 Richer Soul – Money Mindsets with Sarah Li Cain

Written by Rocky Lalvani

Sarah Li Cain went from broke to six figures after hitting rock bottom and deciding to change her relationship with money. Sarah is willing to share that journey with us. She was quite intentional and set goals for her journey. Taking small baby steps and working her way forward.

Don’t forget to check out Sarah’s site highfivingdollars.com she has some great free resources for you.

About Sarah:  I’m Sarah, and I’m here to get you thinking about money not just in the dollar and cents sense (haha, get it?), but the psychology behind our spending behaviors.

You know you should save more, spend less and all that, but why aren’t you following some of the great advice out there? Or you know you should invest some of your heard earned money, but are too scared to even open an investment account?

It really boils down to how we feel about money. Sounds cheesy, but it’s true. If you’ve been taught that investment is meant to be confusing and you need to learn a lot of crazy technical jargon, then that belief is going to lead you to never spend a dime on any type of investment. Or if you’re stressed and trying to run away from certain problems, then that stress will mostly likely manifest in your spending habits.

I learned the hard way when I ended up jobless, homeless and $9,000 in credit card over an ex-boyfriend. Through that experience I learned that being kind to myself was key to living a richer life. Once I intertwined physical, mental and financial wellness together, I was able to grow my bank account and live a much more fulfilled life (just ask my husband and adorable son).

In the end, money is a tool. But we still attach feelings and beliefs towards money. So to figure out and better our financial situation, then we need to change those feelings and beliefs.

Welcome to Richer Soul – Your journey to more a purposeful, intentional, amazing life. Where are you going to go and how are you going to get there? Let’s figure that our together. At the core is the financial well being to be able to do what you want, when you want, how you want. It’s about personal freedom! Thanks for listening!
